Australind is one of the fastest growing towns in regional Western Australia and a popular tourist destination. It was one of the earliest settlements in the State.
It was named by its founders from a contraction of Australia and India, hoping there would be a prosperous trade between the two countries with cavalry horses and food.
Australind is close to Bunbury and two hours by road form Perth and only two hours to the heart of wine and tourist regions in the South-West.
